Mr. Chambers has been in the retail industry for over 30 years. Rick's career began with the R.T. French Company. By the young age of 20, he was promoted to a sales management position, the youngest in company history. In that position, Rick turned the lowest sales district around to become the highest sales district in the country for both sales and profits
Rick started Southern Sales Force in 1979, selling general housewares products to retail stores. In five short years Rick built Southern Sales Force to a $20 million company. Southern Sales Force was sold just before Rick joined Georgia Pacific to start up the non-foods division. In a few short years, Rick helped grow the Georgia Pacific brands of paper products in the Mass Merchant, Hardware, Drug and Wholesale Clubs classes of trade. From 1993-2003, Rick was the V.P. of Sales for Magla Products, a large hand protection company where Rick was responsible for selling to all classes of trade.
The key to Rick’s success is knowing where to get the early results of a product launch and putting the right sales management and sales teams together. This kind of result has been his "signature" in whatever challenge he has faced. Rick's knowledge of the retail trade and his expertise is taking business form zero dollars in sales and building it to a multi-million-dollar business is invaluable.
